RE: An Ordinance To Restrict Placement of Garbage for
Curbside Pickup
THE VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF CEDAR
GROVE DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the purpose of this Ordinance is to restrict the placement
of garbage for curbside pickup within the Village of Cedar Grove
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby ordained by the Village Board of
Trustees of the Village of Cedar Grove, Wisconsin, as follows:
No person shall place garbage on the curbside for garbage collection
and pickup prior to the hours of 6:00 p.m. on Sunday for Monday garbage
collection and pickup. In the event that the collection date is changed
from Monday to an alternate day, garbage shall not be placed on the
curbside prior to 6:00 p.m. on the day preceding the garbage collection
day.
Household refuse shall be placed in clear, transparent bags.
Recyclable refuse, cardboard and paper shall be collected and
dropped-off at the Village Recycling Center at Willow Avenue and
Commerce Street on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. as
follows:
1. Recyclable refuse shall be placed in clear transparent
bags
2. Cardboard of all types shall have inserts removed,
flattened, and bundled.
3. Newspapers and magazines shall be tied on all sides
with string or twine, or stacked and placed in a brown paper
grocery-type bag.
C. Persons found in violation of this ordinance shall be subject to a
forfeiture as follows:
$25.00 plus Court costs, for the first offense; $50.00 plus Court
costs, for the second offense within a 5 year period; and $100.00
plus Court costs, for the third offense and thereafter within a 5
year period.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after
the date of its passage and posting as provided by law.
